Gingerbread, Cousins, and Basketball...
(They turn in to sugar-induced monkeys jumping on the bed... and they couldn't stop! They seriously jumped and screamed and ran wild for about a 1.5 hours! So fun! So glad Dusty decided to put that mattress on the floor for safety. We are so glad we got to spend some time with Dusty, Mandy, and Kimball before we left.)
After breakfast and all the cousin fun Aunt Shelley had more goodies in store: Gingerbread cookies to decorate, yum! (That's Corbin's candy face?)

Little Q
Height: 26 1/2 inches
Weight: 19 lbs. 6 oz.
Head Circumference: 17 3/4 inches
(All #'s are in the 75th percentile or higher)
And this photo is proof that he is officially sitting all alone! We can't believe that he is literally almost 20 pounds. He weighs as much now as Corbin did at his 12 month check up!
He also had a follow-up visit with his Pediatric Gatsroenterologist and he seems to be doing much better in regards to his tummy troubles. We hope he's slowly growing out of it.... for good.

The Nutcracker
The Nutcracker Ballet
by Ballet Etudes
We got to meet and greet many of lead dancers/ballerinas on center stage. Kylie and Alyssa (my nieces) got a few autographs. We also saw how they made the fireworks, steam, and snow from the Fight and Snow Scenes.

Holiday Cheer!
Nothing seems to bring a little Christmas cheer like gathering with a load of good friends, eating yummy soups, salads, breads, and desserts....
...dressing up in our ugliest sweaters....
... and having a little white elephant gift exchange. Jeff & I had a great time without the kids this weekend doing each of those things. Good food, good company, good laughs, the perfect combination for a little holiday cheer!

Just Because...
The other day while Corbin was sitting on the potty waiting for something "exciting" to happen we had the following conversation:
Me: "Corbin I am so proud of you for being such a big boy! I love you." (kissed his cheek)
Corbin: "Why do you love me mom?" (wiping my kiss off)
Me: "Because you are my little boy and you make me happy."
Corbin: "Oh."
Me: "Do you love your mommy?"
Corbin: "Yes."
Me: "Why do you love me?"
Corbin: "Just because mommy!" (kissed my hand and smiled at me)
Yeah... he melted my heart. My little 2-year old understands more about love than many... he loves me "just because".... and that's just fine with me. We don't need reasons to love each other, we just need to love. Don't you just love "potty-talk?" It's always very enlightening.

6 months!?
I guess that's what happens when you love mother's milk!
At 6 months old Quinton loves to eat, play, watch Corbin and Yoda, grab his toes, talk to mom and dad, watch his mobile, to play peek-a-boo, play in the bath, chew on anything he can get his hands on, smile, and yell!
He can roll from his tummy to his back, sit up unassisted for about 2 minutes, say "ah-goo", "waa-waa-waa", "ah-duh", and click his tongue.
He eats rice cereal, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, carrots, cheerios, and milk of course.
He hates having bubbles that pass at either end.
He is our fun, lovable, little butterball and we just can't believe 6 months has passed so quickly.
