Good Friends and Baseball

These are our good friends, the Thomas'. They are an adorable family... and they know how to have a good time. I've known Ryan and Breanna since Junior High and I used to tend little Hayden when he was about Corbin's age. They moved to Utah for work about a year ago, so we're following in their footsteps. Last weekend was Ryan's birthday so we celebrated in style at the Salt Lake Bees game. It was a blast!
Corbin loves playing with Hayden on the few occasions they get (hopefully there will be more of those). During the double-header game the kids scored big time. All the kids in the ball park got free t-shirts... AND there was an entire squad of Utah sport mascots there. (Didn't know half of them, but it was still fun to meet them and get autographs.) Corbin mostly liked hugging them.
The cougar, of course, couldn't get enough of Corbin either.
This strange hockey mascot signed Corbin's REAL shirt.... weirdo.
Then there was the Bee. He really got around and signed Corbin's shirt and bat (thanks Ryan and Bre). Quinton, on the other hand literally screamed when he saw the other mascots... (gave the people in the beer line something to talk about), but he LOVED the bee. Too funny.
Jeff, teaching his son a thing or two about baseball.
Quinton mostly enjoyed standing up in his chair, eating food, and watching out for the Bee.
Unfortunately the Bees couldn't pull it out and lost to Reno. I'll blame it on the rain. There were a couple of innings we thought we'd get stormed out. Nothing like watching a baseball game in the rain. It's what summer is all about. We'll definitely have to do that again. Thanks Thomas' for such a fun night.
