Thanksgiving Preschool Program

Corbin attends Bee Ready Preschool in Provo. It's in his teacher's home and it's adorable. He learns so much and is usually eager to go twice a week. He's also got a great memory for information of all kinds... including song lyrics. (If only you'd seen/heard our Ward Primary Program in Sacrament Meeting.) Here's his cute class during dress rehearsal:

Fall Leaves...

Are so fun!

Thursday, September 16, 2010

let it begin...

Fall.
It is defined by shorter days, cooler nights, colorful leaves, garden and fruit-tree harvesting, back-to-school, and of course, college/BYU FOOTBALL!
Even though we are season ticket holders again, we decided to take advantage of the free Fall practice/scrimmages at the stadium before the season officially started. I'm not sure who was more excited, Jeff, our 2 older boys, or Nick (Jeff's cousin, the BLUEMAN sitting behind Jeff).
It was a HOT day in the full sun, but we enjoyed watching the scrimmage nonetheless. The Heaps/Nelson QB rotation kept things exciting for sure!
It's not that often that you get to sit and walk this close to the field... unless you're the BLUEMAN! These 3 thought they were in heaven for the morning.
Corbin has that same helmet at home (his Halloween costume last year) and couldn't believe the size of this one draped in the stadium. I think that is the "size" of BYU football at our house this Fall.
BYU Football's #1 fans! (In my book, anyway...)
We're looking forward to a great season, full of lots of changes.... read more HERE.
RAH-RAH, RAH-RAH-RAH, RAH-RAH, RAH-RAH-RAH
GGGOOOOOOO COUGARS!
Besides, "Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6
Right?
So, let it begin....

Fun Fall

One thing I never really did as a kid was play in piles of Fall leaves. AZ doesn't really have a legitimate Fall season so I missed out as a child.... but this year my boys got the full Fall experience. Jeff raked up the leaves in our backyard and the pile was taller than Corbin!
Jeff had a great time showing Corbin how it's done... and I couldn't tell who was having more fun.... Jeff or Corbin?
"Watch this Corbin..."
"Whoa dad!"
Then Corbin took full advantage of tackling his dad in all his vulnerability...
Here's a cute video to get the full effect:

Thank you Utah for all the Fall fun!

Fabulous Fall!

When we were at the park last week Corbin made me a beautiful fall bouquet of crunchy brown leaves. He started asking lots of questions about the trees and leaves and different colors.
(contemplating the cosmos...)
So.... yesterday after Church Jeff and I decided to take a drive up Provo Canyon and show Corbin what Fall in Utah really looks like.
You ever been to this place called Cascade Springs? It's gorgeous this time of year (and extremely busy). Here are a few shots Jeff got of the scenery and the kids....

Of course Yoda had to come to and Quinton had to take his turn walking him over the bridge.... so cute!
I love this season...
...can't wait for more color and all the warm cozy food that goes with Fall (apple, pumpkin, pecan pie)
